Riza van der Merwe is the founder and owner of Mizu Therapy & Assessment, a neuropsychology and educational psychology practice based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. Her work includes neuropsychological assessments, educational assessments and guidance for children, learners, students and families who require clearer insight into learning, development, cognitive functioning and academic support needs.
Before becoming a psychologist, Riza lived all over the world, including Europe, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, and the United States.
Her jobs included teaching kindergarten, primary school and high school, lecturing at National Taiwan University, writing curriculums for ages four to eleven, teaching yoga and writing children’s books (including a yoga book to help children with anxiety and several English reading books).
Riza has continuously been keeping up to date with new research to enrich her knowledge in this very broad field, including courses in neuroanatomy through the University of Michigan (USA) and a three-part Neuroscience Course through Harvard University (USA).
She also offers workshops on an ongoing basis on a variety of themes.

Sunita Patel is an Educational Psychologist and Psychometrist with a special interest in neuropsychology. Her journey in the field of psychology began in 2002 at Rand Afrikaans University, and have been in private practice since 2010.
Sunita Patel is an Educational Psychologist and Psychometrist with a special interest in neuropsychology and cognitive development. She has been in private practice since 2010 and has experience in educational assessments, psycho-educational assessments, school readiness assessments, concession assessments, subject choice assessments and career assessments.
Sunita’s work focuses on understanding how assessment information is gathered, interpreted and used to support practical recommendations. Through dynamic assessment, she considers both a client’s current functioning and potential capacity, helping families, schools and individuals better understand learning needs, academic strengths and areas where support may be helpful.

Liezl Camphor is a counsellor and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Neuropsychology. She has been in private practice since 2007 and offers support in areas such as counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, personality assessments and career guidance.
Her work aims to help clients better understand their strengths, identify areas for growth and make informed decisions about their wellbeing, relationships, studies or career direction. Liezl offers a compassionate and non-judgemental space for clients who need support during challenging life stages or periods of uncertainty.
Liezl offers sessions in Afrikaans and English.
